What to do if there are drafts through a plastic window

How to document drafts, what to check before an inspection and which causes are most often identified.

First steps

Record exactly where the draft is felt: around the sash perimeter, from the window reveal, under the window sill, near the hinges, handle, installation joint or junction.

  • take photographs and videos;
  • record the date, temperature and weather conditions;
  • do not replace the seal before the inspection;
  • retain the contract and specifications.
